The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) recruitment exam 2021 scheduled on May 9 due to a surge in COVID-19 cases across the country. The Commission has taken the decision after conducting a special meeting to review the situation prevailing due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The revised schedules of the UPSC EPFO exam will be announced soon. The Commission has released a press statement regarding the UPSC EPFO exam postponed. UPSC EPFO Exam Postponed Due To COVID-19

The UPSC has also postponed the Personality Tests (Interviews) of the Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination 2020 (scheduled between from April 20 and 23, 2021) and the Civil Services Examination 2020 (scheduled between April 26 and June 18, 2021) along with UPSC EPFO exam 2021.

The notice reads, "The Commission considered rapidly changing circumstances, health considerations, lockdown restrictions including social distancing norms and aggravating situation enforced due to the pandemic. The Commission has decided that it will not be possible to conduct examinations and interviews for the present."

It also reads, "The dates for the Interviews and Recruitment Test, where candidates and advisers are required to travel from all parts of the country, will be reviewed from time to time. Revised schedules of the same will be notified on the website of the UPSC. As and when dates are decided for the deferred Tests/Interviews, it will be ensured that candidates are given a notice of at least 15 days."

Earlier, the UPSC has released the EPFO admit card 2021 on April 16. The Commission will be conducting the recruitment test for filling up a total of 421 vacancies to the post of Enforcement Officer/ Accounts Officer, Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). The online applications were accepted from January 10 to 31, 2020.
